Redhead Day, Roodharigendag in Dutch is the name of the Dutch summer festival which takes place the first weekend of September in the city of Breda, in the Netherlands, Europe. The two day event is a gathering for people with the natural hair colour red (ginger). The festival was started in 2005 by the Dutch painter Bart Rouwenhorst in the small Dutch city of Asten. That year the focus was on red-haired women since they were asked to volunteer to pose for paintings. The event in Breda now attracts both ginger haired men and women from around the world.
